I was supposed to meet my teacher here at 11 today. But the library is<\/p>\n

closed for three days. I’ve gotten so used to spending my mornings in<\/p>\n

the library, I don’t quite know what to do with myself. So here I sit,<\/p>\n

enjoying the sunshine. I’ve been feeling pretty crappy this week. Today<\/p>\n

I feel almost back to normal. I’m raring to get started on my writing<\/p>\n

class. I suppose I’ll just have to get myself started. One thing I’ve<\/p>\n

been thinking about. Why is it that my weblog is the only daily activity<\/p>\n

I’ve been able to maintain. I think its because it is easy to post<\/p>\n

things. Also there’s little pressure to perform. Sure I’d like to say<\/p>\n

something interesting every day, but I set some rules for myself that<\/p>\n

boring is better than nothing. Maybe I should apply the same rules to<\/p>\n

something else. Sketching for instance. What if I just give myself a<\/p>\n

rule that every day I put a mark down in the same book. Doesn’t have to<\/p>\n

be a masterpiece, it just has to be. I can use any medium I want, pen,<\/p>\n

pencil, collage, fabric, whatever. Just as long as I put something down.<\/p>\n

So that is my new goal. Lets see if I can make it stick. I wanted to<\/p>\n

create a book over the summer of drawings, but I put so much pressure on<\/p>\n

myself to perform, that I stopped trying. So here I am removing<\/p>\n

pressure.
