Do you remember the 80s band Sparks? &#8220;I<\/p>\n<p>wanna go to new places tonight, I wanna go to new places with you, and<\/p>\n<p>after a while we&#8217;ll stop off for a bite, sammy sammy sammy sam sammy sam<\/p>\n<p>sam.&#8221; The sammy part isn&#8217;t really in the song, just that&#8217;s the word you<\/p>\n<p>use when you can&#8217;t remember the words. Anywhooo, I&#8217;m on foot today and<\/p>\n<p>decided to check out a rose garden in piedmont my friend told me about.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s really a lovely place. You&#8217;d never know it was here. I turned up a<\/p>\n<p>street that I thought it was on and was looking for someone to give me<\/p>\n<p>directions, I really didn&#8217;t think I was in the right place until I saw a<\/p>\n<p>walkway and a sign that said &#8220;no picking the roses.&#8221; Its hot today and<\/p>\n<p>the shade feels nice. There are pools that look so enticing. I dont see<\/p>\n<p>how they can people out of them on a day like this. Reminds me of wading<\/p>\n<p>in the big fountain under the eiffel tower with eiko in paris.  Now THAT<\/p>\n<p>was a hot day.<\/p>\n<p>My painting class is done in three more days, as is the cat sitting.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been really nice to get to know the east bay. I like it more than I<\/p>\n<p>thought I would. This place is all right. I think I&#8217;ll head back through<\/p>\n<p>downtown now and pick up a vietnamese sandwich. I&#8217;ve been told is the<\/p>\n<p>best around. Meet me at 11th and webster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just got a Sparks flashback.
