THey seem pretty magical. I walked to 18th and Irving from our house near stanyan and the panhandle. It&#8217;s a little over three miles there and back. No problemo, I feel invincible. I also got a backpack. the Da Kine bag that we&#8217;ve had for years is finally falling apart. It&#8217;s too bad because it&#8217;s the best backpack I&#8217;ve ever had. The new one is pretty snazzy too though. It&#8217;s got a chest strap as well as a hip strap so I can take the load off my shoulders. The bag is proving itself useful today because I&#8217;ve been lugging my laptop around. It has a little laptop compartment in the back. The last few days I&#8217;ve been a bit nervous about the whole walking 75 miles in the bright sun aspect of this walk, but now that I have sporty stuff, I&#8217;m feeling very confident. Last night I walked downtown, about 4 miles, and it didn&#8217;t even phase me.
