We spent two days driving around the island. Last night we had dinner at
\nthe fish hoper in kona and today we went snorkeling. It was tom’s first
\ntime and he loved it. We went out twice for a very long time each time.
\nWe slathered layers and layers of waterproff sunscreen on but tom still
\ngot cooked like a lobster. He wouldn’t let me take the coppertone pic of
\nthe puppy pulling down his underwear so this pic of rainbow papaya will
\nhave to do. He’s gonna hurt tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Me, I am very afraid of the sun, with good reason. So I kept my shirt
\non all day. I still managed to get a stripe across my lower back where
\nmy shirt kept riding up, and my buns are pink, but I’m ok. My real
\ninjury occured later on in the day when we 4 wheel drove over what was
\ndescribed as a drive across a grassy plain. In reality, it was a crazy
\nass drive across lava rock covered, steep hills. I actually injured my
\nshoulder trying to get us through some hairy shit. All of that aside, we
\nhad the best two days ever. We’re glad to be back in our little
\napartment but look forward to a speedy recovery and a second go at
\nsnorkeling. From now on, tom is required to wear a shirt when face down
\nin the water.
