This huge fabric warehouse has ridiculously cheap fabric and an awesome
\nselection of hawaiian prints. I managed to get out of there with with 18
\nyards of fabric for $50. I want to go back for more. I’m going to make
\nour hawaiian honeymoon quilt from hawaiian print fabric. We need to find
\na cheap duffle bag to get all our loot home. We’ve been shopping a
\nlittle too much.<\/p>\n

Today is too hot and sunny to do anything. Yesterday was the perfect
\ncombo of rain and partially cloudy weather. We san franciscans can’t
\ntake the heat. I keep trying to convince Tom to take me to the nut
\nfactory (manua loa macadamia nuts) but he’s says if we go in, they won’t
\nlet me out again. I’ll get shrink wrapped and shipped off to some
\ntourist gift store on oahu.<\/p>\n

To keep myself out of trouble today, I’ve been arranging beautiful
\ndisplays of fruits and taking pictures of them. I decided guava is a
\nstupid fruit. So many tropical fruits look fantastic but taste icky.
\nI’ll take my pineapple, mango, and bananas, you can have your guava and
\npapaya. eh, papaya is pretty good I guess, if it’s icey cold when you
\neat it.<\/p>\n

We’ve been here one week now and we feel like locals already. I have
\nconverted to flip flops and people give us the hang loose sign. Tonight
\nwe’re cooking at home. We’re having chicken thighs coated in coconut and
\npanka with mangos, black beans, and coconut rice. Damn, I wish I was me,
\noh wait, I am me… I’m so lucky.<\/p>\n

We found the local karaoke hot spot last night: Anna’s Lounge. The
\nkaraoke bar right near us sadly closed down a few months ago. I’m still
\nslowly working on Tom that karaoke is a really good idea. Maybe tonight?
