The evening<br \/>\nstarted out very lovely. We had mai tais and birthday dinner at the Fish<br \/>\nHopper in Kona  then we had a drink at the Kona Inn and sat by the beach<br \/>\nfor a bit. Then we ran into our friend Dave from the little bar we<br \/>\nfrequent in Hilo. He was travelling alone and we teamed up. Two bars,<br \/>\ntwo karaoke songs, and too many drinks later, we stumbled home, drunk as<br \/>\nskunks. The rule we broke? Beware all brown liquor. This includes dark<br \/>\nrum, especially when it is paired with sugary juices. Beware all brown<br \/>\nliquor. It&#8217;s been a bad day, a very bad day. We had to drive all the way<br \/>\nhome from Kona sick as dogs and hating life. We&#8217;re staying in tonight.<br \/>\nMaybe I&#8217;ll go to Blockbuster if I can handle the outing. Beware all<br \/>\nbrown liquor.
