I’ve been getting so much praise lately. It’s been really incredible. Anna Conti<\/a> posted a very nice comment to the octopus<\/a> painting. Bradley<\/a> posted this on his blog:<\/p>\n

“Alanna met up with me in Portland. It was great to see her. She was selling some paintings, and I bought two of them. Not because she\u00e2??s my friend, but because when I held them, I knew that they must be in my home.”<\/p>\n

A stranger emailed me this about the new bird and ship encaustics<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“Awesome encaustic….what is it…fabric, paper I’m just blown away…..”<\/p>\n

This morning I woke up to find someone who bought The Family Pet<\/a> from me last month would like to buy the penguin encaustic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A teacher<\/a> from the Omega Institute<\/a> in New York wants to show prints of my new encaustics to her workshop.<\/p>\n

When I saw Kelly from 20 minute loop<\/a> in Portland, she told me about 5 times how much she likes my paintings, and made me blush a lot.<\/p>\n

How incredible is all that? It’s a strange feeling. I make art that people like. How did that happen? I feel like I’m on such a roll, it will be sad when I get back from my painting workshop in France to find that I’m broke and have to find work. Maybe I should just let myself get into debt a little longer and see how far I can take it.<\/p>\n
