I walked all the way from the
\nmusee d’orsay to the eiffel tower. When I got there, I saw dark clouds
\nand I got so afraid! I was so traumatised by our little tornado
\nincident. I never filled you in on what happened to eiko, asa and I on
\nour first night, did I? Here goes…<\/p>\n
We were walking down the seine after a little wade in that pond by the
\neiffel tower. The sky had strange clouds in it. Eiko said “hey don’t
\nthose clouds look like something out of that movie, Day After Tomorrow?”
\nthe wind started to pick up and the sand from the walkway was blowing
\naround. I couldn’t open my eyes. I had to turn my body away from the
\nwind becuase of all the sand in the air. Then it started to sting us.
\nThrough our clothes the sand was stinging us. Eiko and I were wearing
\nskirts. It hurt, we were starting to scream. We started thinking this
\nwas a tornado. A very large branch fell out of a tree right by Asa. I
\nthought Paris is experiencing a tornado. We hit the ground and huddled
\ntogether along the wall the runs along the Seine. Asa yelled to keep our
\nheads down. It was so terrifying. It seems so surreal now. I thought we
\nwould be blown away. Then suddenly it went dead calm. I thought we were
\nin the eye of a tornado, I was so terrified. But it had passes. The sky
\nwas yellow all along the seine as high as you could see, from all the
\nsand that had been sucked into the air. Asa took us to a bridge to wait out the storm. I was so scared. I was shaking. We were all covered with sand. I was so scared to be under a metal bridge, next to a river in such unpredictable weather, and with thunder clouds rolling in. I thought we could make it to some place safe and dry. We tried to make it but got caught out in the storm. It was a monsoon, we were wetter than wet. The wind was howling and the rain stung. We made it to a a cafe and they let us come in, soaked as we were. I haven’t been that scared in a long time. So now I can’t enjoy the Seine if there are any dark clouds in the sky.<\/p>\n
I’m drinking lots of orangina here.
