\nWe tried Hash Restaurant<\/a> in Sellwood on Saturday with Bradley. It was very tasty, as close to fine dining breakfast as I’ve ever seen, and for the quality of food and service, the prices are reasonable. We’ll probably go back occasionally. Definitely the type of place where you’d want to live it up a little and get a mimosa and they happen to have a granny smith apple mimosa. If I’d known, I would have ordered one. I had the Aebleskivers with apples, so I’m claiming this one as apple 91. Yum.<\/p>\n

Apple 92 was just a healthy bowlful of fuji slices in the afternoon.

Apple 93 was topped on a pesto, carmelized onion, and apple pizza. We had pizza night with Bradley on Sunday night and enjoyed a couple of growlers from Hopworks<\/a> Urban Brewery on Powell and 29th. We went in during the afternoon and did a sampler tray. All very yummy. My favorites were the crosstown pale and the brandy barrel which I guess they only made a small batch of so I’ll just have to go back sooner rather than later. The pizza was divine, not my best pizzas, but delicious none-the-less.<\/p>\n

Apple 94 was gobbled down after I found out that Missy would be coming home with us and I’d just gotten back from my first run to the doggy store where I bought way too much stuff. I’m actually glad I got her a few different toys though because she is pretty freaked right now. She loves them all and is happy to have such good choices. The bee hive “hide a bee” happily is her very favorite.

I ate apple 95, probably with a couple tears running down my face as I realized that Mississippi is in need of a great deal of training and discipline and that her first year of life must have been a very troubling one for her. She’s really trying to yank my arms out of their sockets and I’m torn between really coming down hard on the training or giving her some time to settle in before really laying down the law. So I praise her when she doesn’t pull me. I now eat on the run, since it’s difficult to leave her alone without her trying to tear down the house. We’re working on it.
