Dear Santa,<\/p>\n
You know I’ve tried to be a good girl this year. I’ve been getting straight A’s in school even while juggling school and a couple of difficult projects. I’m one semester away from finally getting my AA and promise to not give up until I have my BFA. I’ve been really nice to my boyfriend. I tried to spoil him the best I could. We’ve both had a busy year and I think we’re good at making time for each other, despite the hard work we have both been up to.<\/p>\n
If I could get anything in the world for Chritmas, It would be more time to make art. I know this is probably the one thing you can’t give me so here are a few alternatives for you to consider. I’d like things that inspire my art making. I want a quiet Christmas this year. Money is sparse so please, if you must shower me with presents, do so with frugality and reserve.<\/p>\n
– Gift certificate to CheapJoes.com, Pearl, or Sinopia.
\n– Books on Kiki Smith
\n– Andrew Goldsworthy’s Rivers and Tides DVD
\n– Anything you can find on William Kentridge. He makes those stop motion movies in charcoal.
\n– A record player
\n– Bubble bath, lots of bubble bath
\n– Any books on squid and octopus
\n– Mythology and folklore books
\n– Any McSweeney’s books
\n– iTunes gift certificate
\n– Socks, cotton socks, the synthetic ones make my feet stink
\n– Time with friends
\n– Breakfast in bed
\n– A new pendant for my necklace or a new ring
\n– Weekend getaway
\n– An afternoon at the driving range
\n– Bocce ball in the park
\n– Hugs and kisses from my boyfriend
\n– World peace and an end to hunger and pain
\n– Heal Tom’s broken arm so he can make music again<\/p>\n
