It looks pretty good as one piece, and it tastes  good, but when you slice it, it leaves something to be desired. Just needs a little more color. The yellow beets overwhelmed the delicate greens in the fennel. Maybe I just need some bell pepper in there, or maybe some peas and roma tomatoes.  Zest of lime maybe?<\/p>\n<p>This aspic has beets, fennel, rhubarb, and orange zest, with a cucumber outter covering.<\/p>\n<p>It was very fun concocting this recipe. I wonder what I&#8217;ll try next time. Maybe something with golden raisins.<\/p>\n<p>Today I&#8217;m off to the studio for the afternoon, then a meeting about Open Studios. Tomorrow I have a class at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfcb.org\/\">Center for the book<\/a>.
