I had time to see<br \/>\nthe new student exhibition and ran into a friend on college ave.<br \/>\nEveryone is so friendly and warm. Its a bit overwhelming. I&#8217;m so shy<br \/>\nsometimes and I felt myself struggling to hold conversations or speak up<br \/>\nin class. But I did it and I&#8217;ll get over it soon enough. Pretty soon<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll own that place.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been thinking about the process of creating a large body of work.<br \/>\nThe machines series is the first time I&#8217;ve tried to stick with one<br \/>\nseries and its been an interesting journey to say the least. Some days I<br \/>\nam so confident and sure of my ideas. Other days I think its all a<br \/>\nterrible waste of time. At the end of the day, neither opinions matter.<br \/>\nThe work just is, and it is strengthened by its numbers. I think from an<br \/>\noutsider&#8217;s view it feels confident and sure. That&#8217;s a feeling you just<br \/>\ncan&#8217;t get with single pieces. It pushes me farther, and takes me places<br \/>\nI couldn&#8217;t get to with just one or two pieces. The series takes over and<br \/>\nI am governed by it. I must feed it, I am compelled to.
