I found this great WordPress guide on installing a local development environment using brew and npm\u00a0for wordpress, php and mysql. With\u00a0the\u00a0db running through\u00a0brew services. Loving it. Install was fairly easy, with a little bit of troubleshooting (why oh why did I not document the troubleshooting part!).<\/p>\n

I cannot for the life of me remember how to create a new db, the instructions\u00a0in the quick\u00a0start aren’t working for me.<\/p>\n

This post shows\u00a0a much\u00a0better method for creating new databases once you’ve gotten everything else running from the quick start guide above.<\/p>\n
