29 Weeks Pregnant

Now that I’m into my third trimester, I am really feeling like we are in a countdown. It’s amazing how fast you go from feeling like you’ll be pregnant for a long time, to feeling like you’re going to have a baby soon. I went to Seattle and saw my friend Azure. She gave me two pieces of advice. 1. don’t skimp on the glider. 2. don’t skimp on the stroller. So we went to Segal’s this weekend and wound up buying a glider. Good thing we did it now because the order is going to take 6 weeks. I’ll have less than 5 weeks to go before my due date. Yikes! I’d been surfing craigslist looking for a used one, but nothing was very exciting. The one we got, we can see keeping for years. I’ll be nice in our bedroom if we ever get it out of the kid’s room.

My tailbone has been hurting this weekend. It;s feeling a little better but it might be time to call in the chiropractor. I’m waiting to see how it is today. I’ve been stretching like crazy, trying to get it to pop.

Other than the tailbone, I don’t feel all that pregnant. I thought it was going to be harder than it’s been. Here’s hoping the next 11 weeks are still pretty easy. I’m getting so excited to meet my daughter. Her room is still a mess and there’s no art on the walls. Hopefully I can get going on that this week.

People have been telling us to go to the movies while we can, but we don’t really like going to the movies, so we’re trying to get some shows in. This weekend we went and saw our neighbor’s band play at the Woods in Sellwood. Next weekend we see Telekinesis and Nada Surf at the Wonder Ballroom. I’m thinking about calling Wonder and asking them if we can reserve seats. The Rogue Wave show was tough on my hips, standing up for several hours hurts.

We’re just trying to get as much house stuff done as we can before the baby comes. I need to get our sewer line fixed and that’s going to take a while. i lost our sewer scope/estimate so we have to start over again. Bummer. The city is going to need to do work as well as the private contractor. Joy.

I started a website for our little one. It’s called Juniper Leigh.
