If I wasn’t a san franciscan before, I certainly am one now

Today I woke up early, took public transit to art school, only there was a police blockade on 18th street so I had to get off the bus and go two blocks to another bus. Then I got to art school, got my senior studio (yay!) and got out of class early. I went the Rainbow co-op grocery where everything is vegetarian, bought some dry wheat berry and oat berry from the bulk bins, some organic rainbow beets, a leek, some green onion, tofu, some animal-free soap, and a vegan cookbook. I picked up a monthly bus pass on my way home. Then I tried to bring some of my art supplies to school only to find that there was a bomb threat at school, second one in two days, so I gave up, bought some cute embroidered and flowery clothes at Ross, picked up some bulk fruits and veggies at Safeway for my juicer, then headed to Sports Basement, a co-op sporting goods store, to buy some sandals that you can wear in the water and a small Nalgen bottle. I headed home, bought some green nail polish, a pair of pink leggings at American Apparel on Haight street near my house and headed home for some juicing. I juiced some fruits and vegetables enough for a refreshing beverage now and one for school tomorrow (filled my Nalgen bottle). Then I steamed my beets and started cooking my wheat berry for a nice miso-tahini-lemon wheat berry rainbow beet salad tonight. I stirred my sourdough starter. I also tossed a bottle of French rosé wine in the fridge from Kermit Lynch and settled down here on the couch to write in my blog. I am a San Franciscan.
