I’ve been trying to embrace my city more. I spent the morning in the San Francisco library, looking up lots of goodies for classes. I then hopped on a bus and met Tom downtown where we shopped for pants and picked up my current favorite sandwich at Madeleine’s on O’Farrell and Market. It’s sliced pears, Saint Agur bleu cheese, and walnut spread on fresh baked walnut bread. Yum. We walked around a little bit and I took a couple downtownie kinda photos. This city is magical, even the touristy parts (sometimes). Tonight we are meeting friends in Fisherman’s Wharf. Could be a late night at Jack’s Tap Room for us.
The first week of school was a pretty good time. I have very high hopes for this year and I’m so excited about my studio space. Yesterday I got a cheap desk at Ikea so I have a nice work surface and place to study. I’ve been working on my proposals for class and staying busy. This semester is going to be full of lectures and late hours. I am ready.
