I can’t believe we only have two more days here. I feel so sad to leave.
But we have so many fun things planned at home that we have a great deal
to look forward to back home. We feel pressure to have two fun packed
days here and squeeze in all we can. I wish we could just pretend we
weren’t going home for another couple days until all of a sudden its
time to pack.
Yesterday we were driving home from waipi’o valley and had made a
smoothy pit stop. Tom mentioned something about more smoothies in our
lives and I said “yeah, I’m going to put some bananas in the freezer
when we get home.” He laughed. “What are we going to be with those? We
don’t have a blender?” he thought I was talking about our apartment in
hilo. It has become home for us, not the greatest home in the world, but
pretty goodm, and ours for a short time.
