We went to Half Moon Bay yesterday to finally use our Gift Certificate from Tom and Sue. We always have to get a sandwich at the San Benito House sandwich shop regardless of whether we are hungry or not. We had jst eaten a large breakfast at Howard’s on 9th and Irving so we decided to make it our dinner. When we got home we split a half turkey sandwich, I had an apple and we munched on some incredibly stinky cheese (epoisses) from Say Cheese. It was a snacky kind of night as we did our taxes. The apple was a Jonagold and it was absolutely delicious.
At Half to Have it we picked up a recipe book holder with a little bird on top, some speckled blue serving plates, a penguin ice bucket, and an electric carving knife just like the one I had when I was a kid. When we got home, I used to it slice bread and salami. It’s great fun but one problem with it is that whatever you cut ends up smelling like electric knife. The instruction booklet has some fantastic artwork and I really need to scan it and share it.
