I’m kinda stressed today and having trouble focusing on the very daunting task at hand. I have a deadline by Monday. So instead of getting my knickers in a knot, let’s focus on the happy accomplishments of the day.
As of tomorrow I will have finished my first week of marathon training. I’ll be doing a mellow jog/walk around Lake Merced twice for my 10 miler. This means I will have clocked 20 miles in one week plus an hour bike ride. Not too shabby. Also there’s less than a week until the 10k Aids Walk. Donate please.
Last night I gave Tom a very early birthday present. Timing and lack of space forced me to deliver early. He got a nice road bike thanks to a trade I made (or am making, I should say) with Bradley. He is a very happy camper. I fed him pork chops, corn on the cob, salad and carrots. We finished off the evening with his very first (and then second) Pimm’s. I made it with Ginger Ale, cucumber, mint and lemon slices. He is now a Pimm’s fan for life. Thanks to Jason for introducing me to this fabulous summertime drink. Too bad we don’t get summer in San Francisco.
Ok, I really need to work my tail off now. No time for art right now. Hopefully I’ll have some free time next week to paint. But for now, onward! Only 5 weeks til school so I better front-load all I can on this project. That’s my new title; Alanna, the front-loader.
