Here’s another one of my machines series paintings. I figure as long as I get one painting done a week, I’ll be in ok shape for October. I’ve been working full-time and don’t get as much time to get to the studio. Still I’m thankful for the paycheck before school starts and I’m getting enough (art)work done, I think I’ll be able to meet my October show deadlines before school starts.
Speaking of… Only two more weeks til school starts! Do you think the other kids will be nice to me? Tom promises he’s going to take me to get some new velcro enclosure binders and some Hello Kitty pencil holders. Um, ok, just kidding.
My foot has been cramping up something fierce. It’s the foot I broke a couple years ago. It never did get itself right and now it’s all screwed up. So I’m having to endure painful deep tissue work that makes me want to drink whiskey and carry a gun. This morning during my torture, I imagined the scene from Fight Club when Ed Norton is in a meditation class and is told to “go into his cave”. I went into my cave today. I found my spirit animal. She is an angry old bear with a thorn in her paw… and she wants whiskey, lots of whiskey.
