I hate to break it to you, but higher education is a privilege and a choice, not a right or requirement. I know, I’d change things if I could, but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, at this point in our history anyway. So being that it’s a privilege and a choice, it means you don’t have to be there if you don’t want to be. It’s not like prison or anything, you are free to come and go as you like. If you don’t like a class, you can drop it! I know, amazing isn’t it? So I wish you’d either decide to grin and bear it, or get the hell out. Yes, the class is disappointing but atleast the teacher isn’t asking us to learn hardly anything or do any arduous work. Honestly I think she doesn’t know much of anything herself. And I’m ok with it, it’s city college, there are good teachers and bad teachers. I don’t mind your whining so much, it’s just that whole “my life is so hard and this is all really unfair to me and my little selfish world” routine is really boring. just get from the class what you can and move on, OK? No more angry girl, it’s really dull and honestly, you are making a big fool of yourself. Temper tantrums in college? really now. That’s just silly.
A letter to the angry woman in my class
