Well, today is not as dramatic as the movie, it’s actually just quiet. I have 7 days to write 15,000 words and I’m just calmly cranking away, thinking about how little I’ll have left once I finish this deadline. I get to have some fun tonight. We are seeing Nada Surf at Bimbo’s 365 Club and will catch a bite somewhere in North Beach beforehand. Thinking about having a nice dinner with my boyfriend is giving me happy butterflies in my stomach.
Chip chip chip. Just keep chipping away, page by page. I see a dim light appearing in the distance. I know the tunnel has an end. What joy, to be on the downslope of such a giant mountain. I am doing it! I will finish! Don’t freak out Alanna, just keep typing, you’ll make it, one page at a time.
