Things are moving so fast. I’m a bit dazed and confused. Though we have planned for this move for a billion and one years, it seems to be coming upon us so fast. I feel like I’m in the middle of a tornado, and I’m driving the thing, but just barely.
I ate apple number 59, a golden delicious, as I try to focus, and make my list of things to do in the next week and a half. It was both golden and delicious. The movers come next Friday and I’ve signed us up for a parking permit for the van. I changed the address on 4 of our magazines and did a general change of address for all our mail starting March 6th. I do all this in between getting a pretty big build done for tomorrow. It’s going to be a late night for me and a stressful day tomorrow. I need to make sure we have internet as soon as we arrive in Portland so that we can work from home for the first few days before Tom’s office lease begins. I’m not taking any time off from work except driving time and I feel like a chicken with it’s head cut off. It’s “strap in and enjoy the ride” time around here.
I feel very out of shape and can’t wait to be settled. Our neighborhood, Sellwood is a great place for walks, bike rides, and runs. Or when I’m feeling lazy I can get my exercise poking around antique stores. Woot!
