Wow, what a great apple. I’d never seen this kind before. I found it at Safeway, and if an apple from Safeway can taste this good, imagine what it would taste like if it were actually fresh. Maybe it’s full of some sort of voodoo magic and so only tastes good when it’s been picked early, abused, shipped around in trucks and piled up in giant grocery stores. But I doubt it. I bet it might be the best apple around if it was fresh picked right off the tree. My apple hails from Washington and I just read that it is in season from December to March. Wish I’d bought more of them. I might have to make a special trip tonight.
