Take a look at this beautiful quilt from Lisa Call. It makes me want to sew really bad but there’s too much other work to do. Did I tell you, I finally finished the quilted duvet cover I nearly completed over the Winter break? It needed buttons. I thought I would fix a few problems with it, but in the end I realised I just needed to get the buttons on and move on with my life. It’s amazing what a few buttons can do for a quilted duvet cover. I was holding it together with safety pins for the last 6 months, which kept popping open and stabbing Tom. He didn’t like that. Now it’s just perfect and wonderful, and the comforter doesn’t sneak out and spill it’s guts all over the place.
Anyway, I digress. I am trying to do research for my writing class. I’m writing about different types of ceremonies and rituals. All the reading prompted me to post some blurbs on our wedding blog. Finding lots of stuff on the origins of wedding traditions and such. Kind of interesting. And then I started clicking around on my favorite blogs and well, here I am. OK, tah! Back to work.
