I stopped by the Studio Gallery to drop off some paintings for the Tiny show in November. Every time I go to the Studio Gallery I end up hanging out with Jennifer and shooting the breeze. It’s one of my favorite parts of showing there. Today I dropped off my work and Jennifer said, thanks for bringing your work by, “good luck with open studios.” as if she were suggesting I was free to go, without our usual chat. And then she paused and said “unless you want to hang out for a while. ” I was so confused at the idea of not hanging out, I think I sported a big pouty face, which made her laugh. So I did my regular hanging out and shooting the breeze. And all wwas right with the world.
About the show:
tiny
November 15th – December 24th
reception: Saturday, November 18th, 4-8 pm
Work under a certain size (7″ x 7″) and under a certain price ($200). We’ll have hundreds of pieces from dozens of local artists…stay tuned for a list of participating artists and some advance photos from the show.
I have a presentation tonight. Second one this week and hopefully the last of the semester. I’m not so nervous abot this one. I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to talk about. My topic list just says:
â?¢ Saffron
â?¢ Crocus Flower
â?¢ Pretty pictures
Very intellectual sounding, I know.
Afer this presentation is over with, its just full speed ahead for next week’s midterm projects. Then, my open studios on October 28th and 29th! Hopefully I’ll have enough time to get all my work out where you can see it… and hopefully buy it. 🙂
