It is really bad form for a girl to try on a wedding dress or sneak
peaks at bride magazines before they get asked the big question from
that special guy. Most of us have at one point or another secretly
wanted to do it. We’ve contemplated slipping into that mall jewelry
store to try on engagement rings. But we can’t! No! Its just bad luck,
neurotic and creepy! But now I have crossed the threshold, now I can try
dresses on with wild abandon, shop for wedding rings and think about
what kind of motif I want for our cards and decorations. I can spend
hours thinking about cakes. I now have a license to frill! I have always
wanted to know what goes on in those bride magazines… So I got a
couple! I feel so embarassed. I think I was blushing in the checkout
line. I caught the bagger trying to sneak a peek at my ring. Now I am
the proud owner of the ultimate girly girl magazines and I can pour over
the pages while drinking my diet pepsi and work myself up to a fevered
neurosies about things I never knew were important for brides to worry
about. Its a strange world and I’m endlessly fascinated by it.
