I gotta say, it is so very nice to have Fridays off. I’m not even sure wha to do with myself today. I have some digital illustrating to do but I think I’ll take a walk first. We went to First Thursdays last night and saw some art. I get out of class at 7 and they close down around 7:30 so it was a mad rush to peak at everything. Still, lots of fun. Then we had a drink at Dave’s bar on 3rd street, one of my favorites.
I feel so relieved that I made it through the week, I’m not even prepared for today. I usually try to plan a bunch of stuff so I can have some plans to flake on, but I never even got that far this week. My neck and back are feeling much better today but yesterday my muscles were exhausted. Today is the Artspan auction deadline and I somehow don’t think I’m going to make it. I thought about just donating one of my small collage encaustics to the auction but time just kinda slipped away from me. I guess it’s ok to sit this one out. Next week is the auction at The Lab. I entered a 24×24 encaustic. Wish me luck.
