I got a rejection letter yesterday for a juried show I entered. It’s not my first rejection letter and certainly won’t be my last. I actually like getting rejection letters because they are proof that I try. This one was extra special though. It had a personal note attached saying “cool paintings, sorry you didn’t get it.” This is fantastic. It means at least 1 person liked my work, it just didn’t make the final cut. That is progress!
Lat night I was so exhausted I went straight home and crawled into bed. I may just do the same tonight.
