I had a presentation last Thursday on Julia Morgan, the architect from San Francisco. I’ve uploaded it if you are interested. If you don’t know who Julia Morgan is, you should, especially if you are a women or live in the SF bay area.

First woman accepted into the architecture program at L’Ecole De Beaux Arts in Paris. First woman to graduate L’Ecole de Beaux Arts (1902)
Main architect for the Hearst castle project. Responsible for the designs of everything from landscape, building layout, building designs, ornamentation designs, engineering solutions for water system, heating system and much more. Built much of Asilomar in Pacific Grove.
