I forgot to mention saturday’s very wonderful hike. We tromped up to the top of Coyote Ridge out near Tennessee valley and packed with us the best damn Chicken piccata sandwiches the world has ever know. It was a day of delicious food and splendiforous company. I haven’t had any decent encounters with nature since I started the book and it was a good way to clear out the goo from my lungs.
Today I got a very nice email from someone who saw the Hot Wax show at Studio Gallery. He showered me with praise for my new “Machines” series. It was a pretty wonderful way to start a Monday, let me tell you.
Oh! Studio Gallery will be showing my encaustic work for another couple weeks, until the end of February. Go down and see them. If some pieces aren’t hanging, they will gladly bring them out for you to look at.
I want to be painting so badly. I haven’t been to the studio since I got sick. I’m going crazy with time management. Five classes is a lot. I see this giant mountain of stuff, that at this point, is managable, but one slip and all those papers and tests could come crashing down on top of me. So tonight, I will do all my homework for Wednesday, and a good portion of reading so that tomorrow I can dedicate to painting. Then a nice valentine’s dinner at home with the better half.
