I’m spending the day on campus, getting used to cca. I went to a library
orientation, hung my piece in the new student exhibition and later I
have a computer lab orientation, then a slide talk where I’ll get to see
work from recent grads and advanced undergrads.
My initial shock seems to have already worn off and I’m getting excited
again. I’ve always felt like a bit of an outsider, even in art classes.
I don’t think I’m going to feel like that here. Just about everyone here
seems like they belong to the same tribe. I kinda feel like the ugly
duckling when she realizes she’s a swan.
