Outta steam

There are exactly two weeks left in the semester. I have many large projects to complete and I have no steam left. I piddled my way through work yesterday and today barely touched a thing. Last night we went to a swanky party involving cocktail dresses, oyster shucking (I found out Tom is a pro) endless flowing martinis and a live band. It was a great night but the endless flowing martinis part kinda hurts today… Ok, it really hurts. I am trying to just let myself take a day off but the guilt is making me crabby. It can’t be too bad though, school will be out in two weeks! Two weeks! Can you believe it?

I spent some time getting my financial paperwork in order so that come tax time, it won’t be so bad. I managed to stay far below the poverty line so I’m really hoping with my 3.98 GPA (damn women’s history teacher) that I can get a Cal grant for next year’s tuition. Crossing fingers. I managed to make more off the sales of my paintings than I have in previous years and that feels pretty darn good. Progress is good, up and to the right!

For the next two weeks, I am the little engine that could. Right now I’m just puffing out a very unenthusiastic “I think I can.”
