  • A very happy birthday to me

We’ve had quite an exciting weekend and I am exhausted. I was blessed with great friends and good times yesterday and today we had a little mini road trip to Rio Vista to eat at Foster’s Bighorn. I feel very lucky. Now, time for sleep. Thanks everyone.

  • arrr

Good morning. It’s friday. My birthday is Sunday and I don’t have class today. I’m going to get caught up in school work, stretch a canvas, make some supports for some embroidery stuff, and have some fun. Me likes having only 3 days of classes.

  • Wall of tiny canvases

This is fun. The rules are, stomach paint anything you want, stuff in any style or medium on a littlr 4×6 canvas. So far I have chosen a cat, toddler in a bee costume, station wagon, bus stop, parking meter, shoes on a wire, mail boxes and a beetle.

  • Photos from the CCA DWOD show

I’m in a group show currently on the San Francisco CCA campus for the Drawing without Drawing class I took last spring. Click the photo above to see some images. If you are around potrero hill in the next couple days, try to stop by. The show is in the East 2 gallery.

  • Hello you

Haven’t I seen you somewhere before? Another life perhaps? Here you are again, big and bautiful and full of life. I can’t believe I found you. And $4! How is that possible, such a treasure can find its way to the thrift town shelves. You have found a good, new home, little treasure.

  • Birthday week

It’s my birthday week! That means I gotta start celebrating. Last night I went to an artist lecture with Lisa, followed by pizza and beer at Park Chalet. Today I treated myself to a membership with the sf parks trust. Friday we have dinner with Tom’s sis, saturday, some friends over for cocktails, and sunday…

  • Appreciating San Francisco

I’ve been trying to embrace my city more. I spent the morning in the San Francisco library, looking up lots of goodies for classes. I then hopped on a bus and met Tom downtown where we shopped for pants and picked up my current favorite sandwich at Madeleine’s on O’Farrell and Market. It’s sliced pears,…

What do you do with a blank canvas?

  • If I wasn’t a san franciscan before, I certainly am one now

Today I woke up early, took public transit to art school, only there was a police blockade on 18th street so I had to get off the bus and go two blocks to another bus. Then I got to art school, got my senior studio (yay!) and got out of class early. I went the…

  • First assignments

Wow, what a day. I feel like death. I’m just totally wiped out. We had a bomb threat today at the school. Turned out to be nothing but the first class ended abruptly as we were evacuated. Amazing the power of that little word, that it can get people to move so quickly, especially when…
