I become and grow
Sometimes I post entries on Jeff Harris’s photo website. I like him, I like his photos and I like his photo journal. He allows anyone to post a comment about their day and then picks the good ones to use as little blurbs to go with his daily photos. For some reason, his site inspires…

I become and grow
I became a writer yesterday. It happened so suddenly. Many insignificant moments added up until suddenly I was free. A giant shell of self doubt lifted and there I was, like a freshly sprung butterfly.

A heart is a maze
This is Tom and my latest chalkboard collaboration. For newbies, prostate we made a chalkboard “canvas” for the kitchen with some birchwood panelling, order some 1″x2″s and some chalkboard paint. Tom and I do collaborative drawings on it in colored chalk every couple weeks. Then we erase and start again!

Fifty Writing Tools
I found it while wandering around Shai Coggin’s Weblog and I wish I had more time to read it. I might print out a few and keep them by the bed. Fifty Writing Tools on Poynter.org. P.S. how many times can you comment on someone’s blog before they think you are stalking them? I’ve found…

First day of school
First day of school Originally uploaded by angrypirate. Here I am, first day of school with all the teenagers! I figured out I have a prejudice against anyone who is under the age of 25. I suppose that’s reverse agism. Good thing I’m taking Cultural Anthropology. Maybe I can change my agist ways this semester.…

Don’t Panic!
I think I was temporarily posessed by demons last night. I feel like I regressed back to age 19, and not in a good way. Now today, although I feel fine, I don’t feel like doing anything at all. Grumble. This morning I allowed myself to go into complete panic and anxiety mode over the…

Wow, I met my doppelganger
I met my doppelganger today and it was really fun. It all started out when I found a link to this site on Loobylu. Yes, I was procrastinating. I was totally blown away and my curiosity peaked, I needed to find out more. I ended up on her site and discovered that along with giant…

Today’s 10 miler
I just had a 10 miler today. I walked the whole way to let my knee get some more rest. It’s holding up ok but I’m still worried about it. I get this tracking problem with my knee cap and it gets to a point that there’s nothing I can do but wait. So far,…

20 Minute Loop and James Combs
Last night we went to see 20 minute loop and James Combs at the Red Devil Lounge. I hate that place. Every time I’ve gone there, I’ve been forced to sit through some really terrible music to get to the good stuff and last night was no exception. Red Devil is always chock full of…

Finders Keepers #2 Jump off the swing
Here is today’s scrap of paper project. I am going to call the series Finders Keepers. Today I framed the sketch in a little 4×6 ikea frame. It’s in pencil, pastel pencil and watercolor. The drawing is ok but the photo is terrible. Not sure where I’ll leave this one today. I might place it…

Squirrel coworker
Ok well, I lied, freelancing can be very cushie at times. It’s just 2pm and I’ve already written several hundred words at a cafe for a couple hours and then several hundred more on the grass in Golden Gate Park. I was amazed at how much writing I could get done sitting on the grass.…
