I ate this one last night after watching Slap Shot. It was so tart! I was shaking my head from the tartness. It was fun but a little painful. I think I’m done with Pink Ladies for a while. They might be good in an apple bread pudding or some other baked dessert but on their own, wow, watch out. I know where that sour apple candy flavor is inspired from now.
Slap Shot is such a great movie. So funny and over the top. And you can’t go wrong with Paul Newman. It’s super violent, but somehow in a really funny way. You should do yourself a favor and watch it. Interesting the story also takes places during troubled economic times. Makes me wonder if ultimate boxing is going to have a huge surge now. People are going to need to get their aggressions out somewhere.
I got my apple corer today! Maybe a baked apple tonight for dessert. Any good recipes you know of?
