Pregnancy Week 27

I’m almost at the 28 week mark so this is technically my 27.5 week.

Things, pregnancy-wise, have gone back to being blissfully uneventful. My stomach is fine, no pain, no nothing. Juniper continues to kick up a storm, only occasionally causing me discomfort now. She did make me have weird dreams last night because she much have been kicking me in my sleep. I had a dream someone kept punching me in the stomach.

My hips get a little stretched out an sore at night unless I stick my big reading pillow between my knees. Other than that, sleep has been ok. I wake up pretty stiff in the middle of the night but I’m usually feeling pretty good by morning. I’m still tired and sore by the end of the night. I’ve been getting back to house repairs/improvements so I’ve been wearing myself out pretty good.

I haven’t been to yoga in a while and I’m feeling really bad about that. I have to keep stretching and strengthening my muscles or I’m going to have a tough labor and recovery. I’m going away this weekend, leaving Tom behind with the dog, so maybe I should start a morning/evening stretching ritual while I’m away.

I had my glucose tolerance test this week. I won’t know the results for a while, but I think everything is going to be fine. I’ve been *pretty* good with the low sugar, simple carb diet, although I’ve fallen off the wagon a couple times. But we won’t talk about that. I’m doing a good job. Hopefully I don’t totally fall off the wagon this weekend in Seattle. I’ve found that when I do fall off the wagon, I feel bad. I either get headaches or I just feel kinda sick. And it seems to throw me off for a couple days. My weight gain has been nice and slow but steady. I’m proud of that.
