What day is it?

Well, let’s see. I’m pretty tired today and I made the mistake of not eating dinner until 10pm. I’m a little loopy. Thankfully Glen gave me a mini Brownie from Starbucks. I think I was looking a little peaked in class. I realised today that I had somehow managed to only take half my test last week. I just didn’t turn the paper over. How could I have done that? Well, it was enough to send me pretty close to the edge. My teacher very kindly let me finish the test and her small act of kindness made my eyes water for a good couple hours.

I tried to think positive thoughts to keep the dam of my tears from breaking. Here’s one. In 1989, the tiny place I worked at was given the opportunity to Beta test Photoshop before it was publicly released. It was an honor we were all very proud of. I was so excited about Photoshop and how it would change the graphic design world. Today I thought about going back to that 19 year old girl and telling her that in 16 years, she’d be writing a book on Photoshop. I think that girl would be very proud. That’s definitely worth feeling tired for a few months. Thanks for rooting for me, 19 year old Alanna. Your support means a lot.

Oh yeah, I got a special delivery in class of a sweet card and a pirate nametag from m and it cheered me right up.
