Well, let’s see. I’m feeling better. I need to go in and get a final x-ray to make sure the pneumonia is gone and I’m healing nicely. Juniper is sick again so I don’t know when that’ll be. I don’t want to be sick anymore. I’m doing this cleanse thing but I’m wavering a bit on my diet. I got really hungry and had meat and that leak seems to have turned into a steady stream. I’m not sure Burgerville cheeseburger fits on the list of healthy foods to eat while cleansing.
I made it past the first round for grad school applications and have interview this week. I was really nervous but I think I’m working through it. I think I know what I’m going to say — more or less. Is it weird that I spent an afternoon finding photos and bios of all the MFA faculty so I could create a names and faces document to prepare me for the interview? There will only be two faculty members in my interviews. But I don’t know which ones. I also spent a great deal of time looking at student and faculty work online. If I had any memory retention at all might might be concerned I’m turning into a stalker, but alas, I can’t remember a thing. Might have to do with not getting any sleep last night.
Since my applications are in, that means I’m done with my intense period of creating portfolio work. Last week was catch up week as well as starting a very cool four week online class called Interwoven. This week is more house related stuff plus more class plus preparing for interviews. I owe Red Tricycle pitches, but I’m so distracted. I’m focusing on just making work for the online class and after the four weeks are up, I want to work on more typewriter and topographical map drawings.
Speaking of class. I actually crocheted a granny square. This really is an amazing feat.
I also started on this cute little bee mobile:
I have all these great books checked out from the library — Richard Serra, Joseph Bueys, lots of land art books, animation books, and I’m too tired to read. So I just look at the pretty pictures when I get moments here and there.
ok too tired to blog. bye bye.
